• Valorization of local resources like vegetables, fruits and Jute.
• Application of plant growth promoting Rhizobacteria and biofertilizer for growth enhancement and production yield of local resources like Tulaipanji Rice, Bighor Brinjal etc.
• Low cost, point of care viral diagnostics development.
• Introduction of skilled based diploma course on microbial techniques and bioinformatics.
• To initiate research work on virology and nanotechnology.
• Write research infrastructure development grants like DBT-FIST and DBT-Builder programme.
• Expansion of Industrial consultancy
